Welcome to Mr. Nelson's Class!

The Sidebar to the right of the page now contains links to Math Help and a list of past Homework Assignments.

  • 10/24/08:     A new link, Extra Credit, is now listed on the right hand link bar.  Also, please note that Notes will be docked 10 points out of the possible 50 points for each day that they are late.  If you were absent the day of the test, they are simply due for full credit the day you return to school.

  • 10/11/08:     The Chapter 2 Test for Regular Math will be on Friday, October 24.

  • 10/10/08:     For the next several weeks, I will be on duty in the morning.  This means that any tests given during this time must be made up after school, and cannot be made up before.  If this is not possible, please see me.  Again, the Chapter 2 test date has not yet been set, but should be by early next week.  For extra help, I am still available from around 7:50am-8:15am, and after school Mon-Thurs until around 5pm.

  • A Quiz Retake will be given on Tuesday, Oct. 7.  This retake will replace the original quiz from the past Friday, as long as it is higher in score.  Please keep in mind that I will not replace your previous grade if you score lower (as long as it is not significantly lower).  Most quizzes will NOT receive a quiz retake such as this.

  • Quizzes will now be given every Friday unless there is a test that week.

  • Test corrections must be turned in the day after you receive your graded test.  Corrections turned in after this time will not be accepted, and your original test grade will stand.  Please keep in mind that while viewing your grades on Parent Internet Viewer, the actual test grade will not change.  Instead, a new grade for Test 1 Corrections will be created, which contains the points added on to your grade.  This will be out of 0, and will act like extra credit.

  • The Chapter 1 Test will be given on Wednesday, September 17th.  Please remember that if you are absent, you must schedule a day before or after school within 5 school days of your return to school to make up the test, or you will receive a 0.
